I’m sure there will be some sour-puss 35Fs here who disagree, but that’s literally their job when it comes down to it. They take the intel that’s collected by other intel MOSs and piece it together to look pretty for the commander. There are specific strategic and tactical career paths you can take for it. Out of all the 35 series which one has the best future outlook in the Guard or with civilian employers? Since 35L is moving out of the Guard, are there any other MOS’s that have opportunities to work closely with agencies/police or is it worth going to the Reserves for that MOS? I was originally planning on going 35L but from other posts on here I found that MOS is moving mostly to the Reserves. I also have aspirations of using the TS clearance and training to apply to government agencies or other contract positions after some time and experience in the Guard. I’m drawn towards the 35 series because it seems very interesting and I might be able to leverage some of my work experience. I’m 31 with a bachelors and almost a decade as a software engineer and now a team lead. That is in stark contrast to everything that I’ve read on here from others but I also try to take everything that I read on Reddit with a grain of salt.Ī little background on me and my situation. It just so happens to be that he was previously a 35M and 35F and said that he loved the 35F MOS. I was talking with a recruiter/retention guy about joining and going for 35L (Counterintelligence) but he was advising that 35F might be a better fit.
